PopSockle and the Bryans — The Cincinnati Masters Doubles Finals
Though they did a traditional one earlier, the end-of-match Bryan Brothers chest bump was land-locked, and looked more like a guy trying to start a fight in a bar… #YouTalkingToMe?…
And just like that, it was all over. The Bryans handed the PopSockle team their first defeat, winning the Cincy doubles championship 6-3, 6-2.
Though things got a bit tense and aggressive during the match, the two teams were full of praise in their speeches. Jack Sock noted there was a reason the Bryans are considered the best doubles team ever, and that if he and Vasek had to lose to anyone, he was glad it was these guys. Bob Bryan, in turn, gave props to the up-and-coming team and especially to Jack as the big American hope in singles.
While the Bryans posed for more pics, PopSockle vacated the court, stopping to sign a few autographs on the way out.
We should see both teams in the World Tour Finals, so maybe we’ll get another rematch of the four North Americans then…if not sooner.
