Stan Wawrinka — Good Days and Bad
Stan also practiced with Novak Djokovic early on in the tournament, in front of an overflowing crowd on the Court 15 deck. There were so many people clustered around that some fans went a little crazy trying to get a view of the champion duo.
As you can tell by the gradually increasing sweat patterns on Stan’s T-shirt, these two gave each other a serious tennis workout.
And as you can see here, Stan was enjoying the lighter side of things with Nole as well. The Swiss player also enjoyed our photo, using it for his own tweet about the practice.
Not all practices went well. Frustrated when nothing seemed to be going right in his hit with David Ferrer, Stan chucked his racquet against the back wall. You can see the aftermath above, as well as a capture of Stan’s Twitter timeline, where he showed his good sense of humor once again by RTing us.
Yes…we know. Maybe it’s the bright colors Val wears. Or the fact that her camera always seems to be comically smaller than everyone else’s around her, even with that new, giant, 8-inch hooded lens.
We think Val was Cleopatra in a past life, Stan, if that helps.
Here we have some match pics, from Stanley’s bout with Becker on Grandstand, and the lost battle with Benneteau on Center Court.
