7 Days ‘Til Cincy — Simona Halep
Coming into Cincy 2014, Simona Halep had lost two big finals to Maria Sharapova, in Madrid and at the French Open. The two met here in the quarterfinal, and Simona was still riding high on a semifinal Wimbledon run and a clay title in her native Romania. Simona swung big and nabbed the first set, but she eventually fell to her nemesis once again, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6.

Three things we really noticed when we looked over our collection of Simona photos:
1) Her consistency in form when hitting her shots.
2) Her ridiculously amazing figure.
3) That forehand has a heck of a follow-through twist.
Simona always has a good crowd of Romanian fans present to cheer her on very loudly. Some of these fans are apparently also Fed fans. #RF
