Cheer Squad: The Ridiculously Adorbs Harriet Dart
Welcome to Cheer Squad! As you know, a huge hunk of tennis news revolves around big results and any kind of controversy, and it feels like the last couple years have brought the sport a fair amount of the latter — and not really in a fun way. We here at Tennis Inside Out have always enjoyed pursuing the lighter side of things, so we’re hoping to start going all-in on things that will bring big smiles to our readers’ faces amidst all the heavy and often emotionally-draining dramaz.
In anticipation of Becoming Tennis Icons, some of the young players have been trying to build up their fandoms on social media, with 2-time Slam champ Naomi Osaka a stand-out along with aspiring YouTube stars Stefanos Tsitsipas and Denis Shapovalov. We thought we’d share here another gem that you might not be as familiar with–the young Brit Harriet Dart.
We first fell in love with Harriet, SWEET Harriet….oh wait, let’s get this out of the way first:
Seriously, if you haven’t seen So I Married an Axe Murderer, you musssst, must do it. Absolute cray classic.
But as we were saying, we first fell in love with the ridiculously adorbs Harriet when she made her semifinals run at Wimby with the equally adorbs Jay Clarke. Aside from the all-court tennis — Harriet is long and lean and aggressive, with big swinging strokes and leaps and slices and gentle touch….and a bit of wildness — the two had an appealing chemistry that made the whole thing a joy to watch.
And as we learned from following Harriet’s Stories on Instagram, she realllly really loves Wimbledon.
Following Harriet on Insta just makes life better. We dare you to be in a bad mood when confronted with her eternally sunny disposition and impossible levels of cuteness.
She’s adorable on her own, and adorably smooshy having fun with her friends, including fellow UK tennis players Jo Konta and Katie Swan.
It is impossible for anyone to resist her charms….
It is startling how many tennis players have interactions with unicorn floaties. But surely Harriet’s is the cutest.
Harriet also has jokes…….and funny cat videos….and it’s all still so damn adorable! 😀

Even when she’s not IN the picture, she still finds the most preciously twee things to photograph….
