There were no gimmes in this match. Rog and Sev were still very serious on the changeover at 5-4, Rog preparing to serve for the 2nd set.

The Swiss net helped Fed nab an early break in the third set, but there was no steamrolling happening here. Bolelli began drawing more Fed errors, and the Maestro had to fight hard and dig himself out of his own service games to maintain his lead.

(Please ignore the typo above. Or just give me a Brooklyn accent or something that makes “this guys” sound normal. 😉 )

Fed worked his way up to 5-4, and when Bolelli netted what could have been a sublime passing shot, the Swiss man had MP.

Oops. Well, he can fix that.
